                       WHAT IS A CHAKRA?

The word Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’.  It is not unusual to feel a spinning motion in the area of any Chakra.  They are arranged in a central line along the body going from bottom to top.  They can be treated from the front or the back of the body.

Chakras perform their many duties in perfect synchronicity with our Endocrine Systems.  This amazing system controls the function of the body at a cellular level through the seven major glands in the body, each of which is associated with a particular Chakra.

The Root Chakra is in relation to the Adrenal Gland

The Sacral Chakra to the Ovaries or Testicles.

The Solar Plexus is related to the Pancreas.

The Heart Chakra belongs together with the Thymus.

The Throat Chakra corresponds to the Thyroid Gland.

The Brow/Third Eye Chakra has a connection to the Pituitary Gland.

The Crown Chakra is usually connected to the Pineal Gland.
